Be the one person on your home theater block to have this. I love the fact the "shaker" is almost virtually indestructible, it lets me know I can be rest assured if I want to demo things on the spot. This is a home theater owners wet dream. I have left this item on my wishlist for about 2 years just because I didn't know anyone else who had this if I had any problems. If you can operate your subwoofer then you can use this.
The real life in-scene sensation of a ButtKicker installed in one of our Lane theater seats encouraged us to purchase another ButtKicker for the other end of our theater seating group. We thought that our 7.1 system was complete until we read an article on the ButtKicker LFE Kit.we ordered and installed the kit. I strongly recommend the ButtKicker LFE Kit to complete your home theater system.ButtKicker BK-LFEKit Low Frequency Effect Kit with Amplifier for Home Theater What an amazing invention and addition to a home theater system. WOW.AWESOME. We now feel what we've been missing.
Its a real good product< I just ordered 2 more to add in my other couch I highly really recomended, especially if you love a filling sound, good luck.
The shaker makes it seem like the bass is louder than it really is. Now, everything is great. I only could use it for 2 months before I built a 18" subwoofer and hooked it up to the Buttkicker amp.
It would benefit from this, but I just set it and leave it now and it works ok. The last thing, is that when using this with no subwoofer, you may think something is missing. The biggest thing missing is a remote control.
You will feel the bass, but not hear it. My problem is that I think the neighbors can hear the stereo, but when I get out of my chair, it isn't as loud as I thought.I haven't played any video games with it yet, but I think it would work (as long as the bass notes are in the right places) It takes a little while to figure out what setting to use, and the music settings are a little different from movies. The next thing is that the movie studios should come out with 5.2, 6.2 or 7.2 soundtracks.
Instead of just working on sounds under 50Hz, it would be nice if the special effects guys could work with this and add that functionality to the Buttkicker.
I have a 7.1 powerful amp, a 800w sub amp / (2) 10" and the addition of (2) of those kickers under my large sofa. it's not design to replace a near by or direct sub, it's an add-on I should say a must have. I got this kit with an extra Butkicker, mounting plate and wires.
I now feel lower base who are actually wave like a boat in water, it kick and vibrate like nothing heels. But forget about it if your place is an apartment or there somebody in the same building, those baby will shake the all place.I can't imagine a full signal and a perfect sung system without-it. it's not like a sud, I wold call that an under-sub.
If you love to feel the power and all the detail and get more then anything you ever experience, it's a must have thing. Movies got to an other level. Have a look to there web-site.
I install it in minutes, flip the switch on and what a difference. WOW no remote control can stay in place.
